I think that fashion forecasting is all about identifying the most appropriate trends keeping in mind the targeted customers and the trendsetters. The different silhouette styles must be identified to prepare better/innovative designs in fashion forecasting. This is because silhouette-choices make differences in developing perspectives to make new designs. My thoughts/inhibitions/perspectives about fashion forecasting have changed because I have researched and understood that there has to be detailed analysis of recent trends of the past and the trends of the present times.
